CAPTAIN
| Born
and raised on Long Island, and a lifelong resident for over 43 yrs, Capt. Tim Glaser is no stranger to fishing the local waters.
“Though I can’t be considered an “old salt”, many of my earliest memories were of fishing with my father and grandfather
in the late sixties” notes Tim. Like the generations of family before him, the USCG Licensed Captain and owner of Reel Big Fish
has had an obsession with fishing for as long as he can recall. “I remember being five and fishing the huge mackerel runs back
then on a boat my father restored in our backyard. We would fish every weekend, and not much would stop us, as we always had a “need”
to be out on the water”. That passion is just as strong today, and has driven Capt. Tim to experience fishing in numerous
locations throughout the world. He has navigated extensively throughout the East Coast, piloting several boats between Long Island
and Key West on multiple occasions, while fishing the renowned canyons and hot spots along the way. The scope of Tim's experience,
on a national level alone, covers the entire area from Georges Banks in the North continuing South throughout the East Coast to
the Dry Tortugas, and then proceeding West to Corpus Cristi, Texas. Internationally, he has fished in locations that include
Venezuela, Aruba, St Lucia, St John, St Thomas, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Mexico among others. |
